How to Purchase RTA Cabinets

We want to make sure that when you are ready to purchase your cabinetry that you have planned for everything accordingly. To do so, follow these 4 easy steps to your dream kitchen:

  1. Start by selecting your favorite door style and finish – browse the website to view images of the doors and kitchens that appeal to you. Take the time to visit The Home Depot to see an actual sample of the product to make sure you are comfortable with your selection.
  2. Design your kitchen – using the Kitchen Design Tool on this site we will walk you through all the appropriate planning steps to design your kitchen. It helps if you have the following information before you start your design online. Click here to learn about the work triangle and step-by-step measuring instructions.
  3. Print your design and product checklist – when your design is complete the online design tool will automatically create a product checklist. This checklist will show the quantity, style information and product code for each cabinet and door style required for your design. Here is an example of the product checklist created by the design tool.
  4. Bring the Product Checklist to The Home Depot and Purchase Your Cabinets - Use this checklist to pull the appropriate cabinets in the quantity specified to complete your cabinet purchase. When you walk in The Home Depot store, you will notice that the aisle is organized in the same order as the product listed on your checklist. For example, if your design requires maple wall cabinets, this will be the first product listed on your checklist and the first product displayed on the store shelf.

To make it even easier, we color coded the door styles and cabinets to make sure you select the appropriate size and color cabinets to match your door style. You will see this chart in the store. Notice how easy it is to find and purchase your cabinets by using your checklist and this chart.

Of course if you need any help, The Home Depot Sales Associate will be more then happy to help you through the process.
